Over the years, I saw wait times increase and prices climb, while the number of qualified professionals providing orthotics declined. Patients were waiting weeks just to have their feet evaluated—only to face even longer delays and steep prices for their custom orthotics.

What’s worse, a national chain moved into the area, offering expensive, off-the-shelf inserts without certified orthotists on staff. Many of those patients ended up in the clinic where I worked, frustrated by poor results and skeptical of whether custom foot inserts could truly help them.

With 28 years of experience in the orthotic and prosthetic field—and over a decade as a certified practitioner—I knew there had to be a better way. That’s why I created Step Techs: to provide fast, high-quality, and affordable custom orthotics designed to relieve pain and improve mobility.

I spent over a year developing an efficient, in-house process and building the specialized equipment needed to deliver exceptional results—quickly. In April 2025, I opened Step Techs to bring these services directly to the community.
